Xiaomi’s Pro version of the Mi 9T had been recently announced to be available in Malaysia on 27th August 2019.
Essentially, this is the upgraded version of the Mi 9T, with the highlight being in the processor:
Mi 9T: Snapdragon 730
Mi 9T Pro: Snapdragon 855
What’s interesting here is how the Mi 9T Pro is able to keep itself cool under heavy use. There’s an 8-layer graphite cooling system that claims to dissipate heat 650% more effectively than conventional smartphone cooling systems. There can be as much as an 8° Celsius difference on CPU core temperatures with this new cooling system.
The Mi 9T Pro packs the same battery capacity as the Mi 9T (4000mAh), with the added support of up 27W in fast charging whereas the Mi 9T can only support up to 18W. In the box you will only get an 18W charging unit so if you want to experience up to 58% charge in 30 minutes you’re going to have to buy your own 27W charging unit.
Another thing to look forward to here is the ability to shoot 4K videos up to 60fps on the rear camera, as the existing Mi 9T could only shoot up to 30fps.
The Mi 9T Pro has triple-cameras, consisting of a 48MP f/1.75 main camera that uses a Sony IMX 586 sensor, a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle sensor and an 8MP telephoto shooter with 2X optical zoom.
If you’re just as eager to get your hands on the Mi 9T Pro as much as I am, it is now available via Xiaomi’s Global Store
