Samsung launches Galaxy A20s, A30s, and A50s, The New A-team

Samsung’s Galaxy A series has been getting a lot of attention this year for being very focused on the entry and mid-tier segments in the market. Today, the A series gets even more attention from the brand with a  set of updates for the two best sellers; the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50. 

Galaxy A50s

Key Specs

  • 6.4-inch Full-HD Super AMOLED Infinity-U display
  • Exynos 9611 SoC @ 2.3GHz
  • 128GB + 6GB RAM (expandable via microSD)

Cameras

  • Triple rear-facing cameras
    • Main: 48MP f/2.0 (from 25MP)
    • Ultrawide angle camera: 8MP
    • Depth sensor: 5MP
  • 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera (from 25MP)
  •  4000mAh battery with support for 15W Fast Charging 

On the cooler side of things, the Galaxy A50s also comes with Samsung Pay and Bixby, features that were only previously found on the more higher tier of Samsung devices. It comes in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, and Prism Crush Green and retails for RM 1299. 

Galaxy A30s

  • Exynos 7904 SoC @ 1.8GHz
  • 64GB + 4GB RAM (expandable via microSD)

  • Triple rear-facing cameras
    • Main: 25MP f/1.7
    • Ultrawide angle camera: 8MP
    • Depth sensor: 5MP
  • 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera (from 25MP)
  •  4000mAh battery with support for 15W Fast Charging 

The Galaxy A30s falls into the under RM 1000 category, coming with a retail price of RM 899. It also comes in the same set of colors as the Galaxy A50s – Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, and Prism Crush Green. Samsung Pay is also supported on the A30s.

Pricing and Availability

Galaxy A20s – RM 699 (early bird gets Screen Protection for 6 months) 

Galaxy A30s – RM 899 (early bird gets a Starbucks To-go-set and Screen Protection for 6 months) 

Galaxy A50s – RM 1299 (early bird gets 1 year of Protection Plus for the device)

The devices will go on sale nationwide this 21st September 2019. As for the Galaxy A20s, it was only mentioned during the event and so far only the retail price was mentioned.
