Intel has just officially announced their new 10th generation mobile H-series Core processors for high-performance notebooks.
Unlike the Ice Lake processors, these new processors announced today are built using a 14nm process node. These more powerful processors were made to cater the ever growing demand for performance from gamers and media professionals alike.
Direct benefits includes higher clock speeds, with more than 60% of the processors reaching above 5GHz in maximum single turbo frequencies. Gamers would enjoy the performance boost, as Intel claims that the games of today are lightly threaded and therefore draw more benefit from higher CPU frequencies.
For the creatives, a maximum of 8 cores and 16 threads would definitely serve them well during heavy workloads.
Intel also claimed that there’s a bump of 30% – 45% in performance compared to the 3 year old 7th Generation Core i7 and ther new 10th Generation Core i7, with consideration of having a similar-tier GPU.
The new processors will also feature Intel’s latest technologies such as Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, Thermal Velocity Boost, and Intel Optane memory. And with support for up to 40 PCIe lanes, the new processors will also feature integrated support for Thunderbolt 3 and the new Wi-Fi 6 standard.
