Gigabyte AORUS and AERO Notebooks Bag Red Dot Design Award; Retails From RM 7599

Global PC and laptop manufacturers Gigabyte had recently announced their 2020 line up for their gaming and creator series of notebooks, the AORUS and AERO respectively.

With over 65,000 entries from more than 60 countries, Gigabyte managed to bag 4 Red Dot Design Awards in the Product Design Category. The models that won the awards are as follows :

  • AORUS 15G
  • AORUS 17X
  • AERO 15 OLED
  • AERO 17 OLED

Other awards prior to this include the European Hardware Awards for Best Notebook and the Taiwan Excellence Award.

Working alongside G2 Esports, the AORUS 15G is a custom-built gaming notebook that aims to redefine gaming. Based on feedback from the professional esports team, this high performing notebook comes Intel’s latest 10th Gen processors and Nvidia’s RTX Super graphics. A high refresh rate panel is on board, individually calibrated by Pantone X-rite standards, bring out true-to-life colors and high-octane gaming performance.

Whats new on the block is the full-RGB mechanical keyboard. The keyboard uses low-profile OMRON blue switches, bring a steady typing experience currently unseen in the gaming notebook segment. Both AORUS 15G and 17X are encased in a full CNC aluminium chassis, which not only exudes quality, but durability as well.

The AERO series targets creators and media professionals. You’re getting a thin all-aluminium notebook in 15 and 17 inch flavors, armed to the teeth with up to an Intel 10th gen Core i9 processor and Nvidia RTX graphics. It features Samsung AMOLED displays, which supports both 100% DCI-P3 as well as VESA’s DisplayHDR 400 True Black standard. Having an AMOLED panel, it also supports 125% of the sRGB colour gamut, that’s 25% more than the standard LCD coverage.

Pantone X-Rite’s certification is present as well, giving designers a vote of confidence when it comes to looking for color accuracy and depth.
