Days ago, Gigabyte had recently launched another addition to their Aorus Gaming Box family, carrying the powerful GeForce RTX 2080 Ti with a built-in water-cooling solution.
This, being the first of its kind (a water-cooled external graphics card enclosure), has the Aorus RTX 2080 Ti Waterforce variant that’s connected to an copper plate based AIO with twin 120mm fans. The aluminium radiator is 240mm in size, which may appeal to those looking to overclock this portable beast. The weight of it however, is no joke. As portable as it is, it weights a hefty 3.8KG so be sure to work on those shoulders to lug this gaming box around in its provided shoulder carrying case.
To use this gaming box is very straightforward, you’ll just need to make sure that your laptop/desktop has a Thunderbolt 3 and supports the use of external GPU’s.
As of now, there is no confirmed pricing and when it will reach Malaysian shores, but for reference, the Aorus RTX 2070 Gaming Box sells for about RM 35xx and the Aorus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Waterforce card goes for up to RM 6599, so it will definitely not come cheap, nor will I expect a large number of them to come anytime soon. As far as anything goes, this for now is the only commercially available graphics card enclosure that comes with a 2080 TI with a waterblock and AIO.
