Acer continues their ultraportable momentum with their latest Swift 3 and 5 for 2022. Packed with Intel’s 12th Gen Core processors, the 2022 Swift series is designed to be for the modern day executive who prefers a more mobile approach, featuring the latest specs in a light case.
Acer Swift 3
This 14-incher comes in 3 color-washed designs, with configurations allowing up to the latest 12th Gen Intel® Core processors and up to 2 TB of SSD storage.
It features a bright 16:9 QHD or FHD touch display and an FHD webcam with Acer’s TNR technology for better video calls, while Wi-Fi 6E ensures maximum wireless speeds. The essential ports are also
covered: USB Type-C, USB Type-A, and HDMI 2.1. On top of that, the Swift 3 comes with fast-charging, promising 4 hours of use from a 30 minute charge. The Swift 3 also comes equipped with Acer’s TwinAir dual-fan cooling system, which offers a 65.8% improvement over the thermal performance of a single fan alone.
The Acer Swift 3 (SF314-512) will be available in North America in June starting at USD 849.99;
in EMEA in April starting at EUR 1,199; and in China in April, starting at RMB 5,499. This loosely converts to around RM 3660, which in turn we predict it to be about RM 3799 – RM 3899 when it officially enters Malaysian shores.
Acer Switch 5
Being the more premium version of the Swift 3, the Swift 5 offers up to a huge WQXGA (2560×1600) 16:10 touchscreen, up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.
The display also includes a layer of Antimicrobial Corning® Gorilla® Glass that is both tough and embedded with ionic silver to protect the surface from external elements. As for I/O, the Swift 5 features two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. It will also come with the same TwinAir dual-fan cooling system and D6 heatpipes to keep things cool during your daily use.
The Acer Swift 5 (SF514-56T) will be available in North America in June starting at USD 1,499; in
EMEA in March starting at EUR 1,799; and in China in April, starting at RMB 9,999. This loosely converts to around RM 6659, which in turn we predict it to be about RM 6899 – RM 6999 when it officially enters Malaysian shores.
