Today, vivo launches its Y35 smartphone, the latest in the brand’s fun-packed and lively Y series. One of the most notable aspects of the device is the capacity and RAM combo. For RM 1099, it starts off strong, offering 256GB of internal storage with 8GB of RAM. What’s special here is that you’re able to extend that ram by another 8GB (totalling 16GB) via the Extended RAM 3.0 feature. This in some cases have been proven to increase performance on things like navigation and running some apps. It basically taps into your internal storage and takes a portion of it to become memory that can be used for the system. The chipset is a Snapdragon 680 processor which is a little aged but still acceptable in its price range.
The display is a 6.58-inch FHD display with a 2408×1080 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. As usual the battery is 5000 mAh and charges back up with vivo’s own 44W FlashCharge protocol.
vivo Y35 is available in two colours: Agate Black and Dawn Gold. Durability is secured via a IPX4 water-resistant and IP5X dust-resistant rating.
Camera
The 50MP main camera of Y35 utilises a large sensor to deliver high-definition pictures that will make users forget about the need of a secondary camera. The device’s 2MP bokeh camera delivers sophisticated portraits characterised with greater depth and accuracy. With the 2MP macro camera, users will discover tiny and exciting worlds full of hidden gems, with a focus that draws as close as 4cm. Users will delight in the difference in clarity made possible with the 16MP HD front camera, enabling a vibrant capture every time, no matter the lighting conditions.
The rear camera’s Super Night Mode employs multi-frame denoising to help users capture vivid details in poor lighting conditions. Where several light sources are detected, Al brightening technology helps capture well-adjusted and balanced pictures. With Super Night Mode’s smart noise reduction algorithm combined with Aura Screen Light, users will be able to capture selfies in the dark with ambient soft light generated right from the phone.
Portraits on Y35 are specifically designed to incorporate Face Beauty, bokeh flare, and many other styles to fit users’ personalised needs in different settings. When you are shooting selfies or selfie videos, the smart Face Beauty algorithm enhances every aspect of the user’s face, brushing up skin tones, and smoothing complexions while beautifying facial features. Users can also manually adjust the finer details to achieve looks that can most represent themselves and their unique personalities.
Pricing and Availability
The vivo Y35 is priced at RM1,099 and is now available for pre-order at vivo Malaysia’s official E-store and vivo Malaysia’s official flagship store on Shopee and Lazada.
Customers who pre-ordered the vivo Y35 series from 12 to 16 August will be entitled to free gifts worth up to RM547*, including brand vouchers, vivo sports crossbody bag, 1-year extended warranty, and 1-year screen crack protection warranty.
