SteelSeries has launched its Alias microphones powered by Sonar for Streamers, the first microphone solution designed specifically for gamers. The Alias microphones feature a 1″ condenser capsule that’s 3x the size of standard microphone capsules, a cardioid capsule pattern that minimizes background noise, and a custom-built shock mount.
The Alias microphones are powered by Sonar for Streamers, a free studio-grade software suite that provides gamers with an all-in-one sound studio. Sonar for Streamers includes a 10-band Parametric EQ, audio routing, precision tuning, and mixing, and ClearCast AI noise cancellation.
The Alias microphones are available in two options:
- Alias Pro: A broadcast-quality XLR microphone that picks up every detail of a user’s voice with extreme accuracy. It features a balanced XLR system with pre-amplifier and 48V phantom power, an XLR Stream Mixer, and Drag ‘n’ Drop Audio Routing.
- Alias: A 24bit/48kHz broadcast-quality microphone that picks up every detail of a gamer’s voice with extreme accuracy. It features a 5-stage LED indicator that displays mic peak level information, real-time mic monitoring, and 16.8M RGB colors to personalize the streaming setup.
