Alienware’s thinnest gaming laptops yet; The X Series

Yep. Alienware dropped the bomb right from the get go by making these their thinnest gaming laptops to date – The X15 and X17.

The X series is loaded with the latest and greatest gaming hardware in the market. They are powered by Intel’s 11th Gen Intel® Core™ H-series mobile processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs (up to a 3080). x15 and x17 support a maximum graphics power of 110W and 165W, respectively. There’s even a Cherry MX low profile mechanical keyboard option available for the X17. Display wise panels capable of 1080p 360Hz and 4K HDR400 are all in the mix between size and spec variants.

Thermals is always one of the big problems when it comes to design thin laptops, and Alienware discovered new materials and new engineering methods just to accommodate the cooling system for the X series, some so new they are still patent pending. An exclusive thermal interface material named “Element 31” is used in The X series to help disperse heat more efficiently compared to other options in the market. Paired with the new material is also a quad-fan cooling system to drive heat out of the laptop so you can game for hours without compromise.

Whole lotta RGB here on the X series. Lights on the back cooling vents, lights on the track pad, lights on the logo, lights on the keyboard, there’s no shortage of RGB lighting goodness in the X series and it goes really well with the space-age esque design language that Alienware is known for. There’s 90-100 micro LEDS on the X15 and X17 respectively and it’s all independent programable zones. Now EVERYONE around you know’s you’re rich and you’re a proud gamer. It’s going to be easy to bring out too, as the 240w power adapter is small and light.
