HUAWEI’s Super Device MWC Showcase: There’s Even a Printer!

At the HUAWEI Spring 2022 Smart Office Launch, HUAWEI Consumer Business Group announced the launch of seven (7) new products, including: its latest flagship laptop, its first all-in-one PC, a new 2-in-1 laptop, its first E-Ink tablet, a new HarmonyOS tablet, the company’s first-ever printer, and a new portable speaker. These releases were part of a larger plan HUAWEI announced to create smart offices and fresh experiences to global consumers.

Under this system, users can drag icons from other HUAWEI devices onto their PC, which will serve as a central hub for a smart office experience featuring device collaboration. These launches bring HUAWEI one step closer to accomplishing of its vision for smart offices of “Boundless Creation and Seamless Communication.”

The showcase focuses on 5 core major scenarios : Health And Fitness, Smart Home, Easy Travel, Smart Office, and Entertainment in the form of 7 new products stretched across.

HUAWEI MateBook X Pro

The new MateBook X Pro is a 14.2-inch laptop with a “Real Color FullView” Display. It has a 3.1k resolution and a pro-level dual color gamut coverage. The touchpad features “Free Touch”, a gesture system that allows users to take screenshots, start screen recording and adjust screen brightness and playback volume with simple gestures similar to their HUAWEI smartphones.

The price is revealed as € 1,899 (Intel 11th Gen i7, 16GB RAM + 1TB)

HUAWEI MateBook E

This would be HUAWEI’s first hybrid OLED tablet, coming in at 12.6″. As you can see, it’s attached to a magnetic keyboard and comes with 2nd gen HUAWEI M-Pencil support. It has more or less the same display qualifications as the MateBook X. It comes in 4 known variants, priced at:

  • € 649 (Intel 11th Gen i3, 8GB RAM + 128GB)
  • € 999 (Intel 11th Gen i5, 8GB RAM + 256GB, HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard Included)
  • € 1,199 (Intel 11th Gen i5, 16GB RAM + 512GB, HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard Included)
  • € 1,399 (Intel 11th Gen i7, 16GB RAM + 512GB, HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard Included)

HUAWEI MateStation X

This is HUAWEI’s first all-in-one desktop, which is pretty much a computer stuffed into the HUAWEI MateView display. It has a unique dynamic hinge design where users can easily adjust the elevation angles of the screen.

The 28.2-inch display features a 4K+ resolution with color accuracy of Delta E<1 and supports touch. Only one known variant was revealed, priced at:

€ 2,199 (AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM + 1TB)

HUAWEI MatePad Paper

This is HUAWEI’s E-ink tablet, focused on notetaking and paper-like reading. It features a 10.3-inch E-Ink FullView display with its own display enhancement algorithm for a better reading experience as well as a smoother notetaking experience as it supports the 2nd Gen HUAWEI M-Pencil. The tablet uses HarmonyOS 2.0, and you’ll be able to drag and drop files across your HUAWEI devices easily.

As an E-ink tablet, the MatePad Paper promises 4 weeks of standby on a single charge.

It’s priced at: € 499 (4GB + 64GB, M Pencil & Folio Case Included)

HUAWEI MatePad 2022

The HUAWEI Matepad gets a 2022 refresh, sporting a 10.4-inch 2K FullView Display over HarmonyOS 2.0. It’s the same as before, coming with support for a magnetic keyboard, the M-Pencil and file transfer modes like the MatePad Paper. There are 3 known variants, priced at:

  • € 279 (4GB + 64GB)
  • € 319 (4GB + 128GB)
  • € 379 (4GB + 128GB, HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard Included)

HUAWEI PixLab X1

Ok this caught our attention. HUAWEI made their own multifunction laser printer. Besides the usual print, copy and scan, the PixLab X1 features Pop-up Pairing, Tap to Print and Remote Printing for easier connectivity to HUAWEI phones and tablets. It also features a unique toner cartridge drawer design to easily replace depleted pigments.

HUAWEI Sound Joy

This portable speaker is co-engineered with Devialet, bringing stunning sound quality to users with its four-speaker unit system. Packed with a 8,800 mAh battery (with 40W SuperCharge Fast Charging wow), promising up to 26 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. It’s also IP67-grade water and dust resistance. It will cost € 149 and will be available in 2 colors.
