It seems like the trend for smartphone brands now is to partner with the film industry to produce films using their products to showcase their video prowess.
Enter ‘Close Shave’, directed by Neo, a Malaysian film director.
Shot Entirely with Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra, it plays on the pandemic theme, focusing on an individual on his first ever job going through various changes to suit the work from home norm. Neo emphasizes that even though we’re indoors, life can be interesting if we allow ourselves to be creative with the things we do every day. He also shares about how much the wide-array of cameras the S21 Ultra has that ticks all the boxes for him during his entire filming process.
Zoom and More
Apart from steady, consistent 8K resolution video recording, he was quite happy about how well the zoom system works on the S21 Ultra, especially being able to retain rich detail even when he went up to 6x zoom, in which most devices of today still struggle with delivering a smooth transition.
