OnePlus has officially launched its newest flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 10T 5G – alongside the next generation of its signature operating system – OxygenOS 13 in New York. The OnePlus 10T 5G is the brand’s second global flagship smartphone of 2022, offering some improvements in hardware and camera, and will be placed just below the OnePlus 10 Pro, while speculated that it is going to be a successor that will be priced more affordable.
The Lowdown
The OnePlus 10T 5G comes with the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 and up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It also boasts its own unique cooling system on top of new OS improvements that focus on long term cooling and stability, so gaming is definitely going to be positively affected from these features.
A 6.7-inch fluid AMOLED display covers the front of the OnePlus 10T 5G along with a 120Hz refresh rate that’s adaptive. It’s certified for HDR10+ content along with 10-bit color, which is an industry norm now.
150W Super-Fast Charging
The OnePlus 10T 5G headlines 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition, promising a day’s power in 10 minutes, with a full tank from empty taking just 19 minutes. It’s powered by a 4,800 mAh battery, boasting two charging pumps to lower the time needed to charge. There’s also a new Battery Health Engine too, which is an algorithmic system that helps prolong battery health and increasing the total number of battery cycles to last up to 4 years before needing a change.
Triple Camera System
It’s a triple camera setup, highlighting the 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), Nightscape 2.0, and improved HDR performance. Flanking this main sensor is a 8MP Ultrawide and a 2MP Macroshooter.
OxygenOS 13
Although out of the box the OnePlus 10T 5G will only be on OxygenOS 12.1, OxygenOS 13 was announced too, featuring a new Aquamorphic design, improved customization and safety measures. This was built based on the feedback from the ever-opinionated OnePlus Community.
