Kingston Technology, recently announced its continued dominance in the SSD market. TrendForce, a leading market intelligence provider, has crowned Kingston the number one third-party supplier of SSDs in the channel for 2023, marking the seventh consecutive year the company has held this prestigious title.
Kingston captured a staggering 34 percent of total channel SSD shipments in 2023, solidifying its position as the undisputed leader. This achievement is attributed to several key factors, including Kingston’s extensive global sales network, a comprehensive portfolio of high-performance SSDs, and a commitment to exceptional customer support.
“We are honored to receive this top ranking once again,” said a Kingston spokesperson. “From the start, Kingston has remained committed to serving our customers and channel partners worldwide. These strong relationships have been key to the remarkable growth of our SSD business.”
According to TrendForce, the global retail market for branded SSDs reached 118 million units in 2023, showing a 3.7% year-over-year growth. This growth is fueled by increasing demand for larger capacity SSDs, particularly in the gaming and high-performance computing segments, as well as a replacement cycle for PCs purchased during the pandemic.
Kingston’s success in 2023 was further driven by strategic product launches, including the DC600M Enterprise SSD for mixed-use workloads and the XS1000 External SSD, a budget-friendly portable storage solution. These additions complemented Kingston’s existing product lineup, catering to a wide range of customer needs.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, Kingston is offering exciting promotions from November 8 to 17. Customers can enjoy discounts of up to 20% and exclusive vouchers at Kingston’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada, as well as authorized partner stores. Additionally, every Kingston purchase qualifies for a chance to win a 55-inch Smart TV or an RM300 Aeon gift voucher daily.
