Upgrades, Upgrades Upgrades. That’s all I saw at the ID Cooling booth at Computex. They plan to keep your PC cool with their new line of AIO’s and cooling fans, featuring some new designs and a next gen pump.
What Is This Next Gen Pumps?
Well, ID Cooling makes their own, known as the Gen 7 Pump Architecture, so the internal loop design is of their own. It features a custom, 3-phase, 6-pole motor that provides stability to the magnets so that the fluid rotation remains smooth, while pumping up high speeds of around 2900 RPM to dissipate heat from high thermal loads.
As such, those speeds are quite high, and without any form of dampening the cooler would be loud and vibrate a lot, so ID Cooling has implemented their own vibration-dampening insulation that brings the noise level down to just 25 dB. Finally, the pump assembly includes a convexed micro-channel copper cold plate, which has better touchpoints both AM5 and LGA 1851/1700 platforms.
The Cool New Stuff
Starting with the FX360 Pro X, this pretty boy features a next-gen pump, a metal waterblock with a minimalist RGB slit across and AM-120 ARGB fans that go up to 2500RPM. It uses an X25 Fast mounting system for both Intel and AMD platforms, available in white or black. Less RGB? I gotchu boo, the FX360 Pro II is perfect for true minimalists, all-black colorway with the same next gen pump and mounting system. The fans go higher as they’re the AS-125 silent fans going up to 3000 RPM, and the waterblock is of the same design but is made of a lighter weight polymer.
For the fancyboys I give you the DX360 Wood, and i hope that you can guess from the name, it is a literal, wood AIO, but only the front feature of the waterblock and fan accents are wood..it’s not completely made of wood. Anyways like the FX360, it has a new pump, 120mm high performance fans and an X25 Fast cooling system. Pretty cool for a Muji themed PC if anyone’s looking to do that. It’s a strong AIO who’s only weakness is probably termites..and water. Don’t toss water at your PC.EVER.
Ok mainstream stuff, the DX360 LCD, an AIO with a 4” detachable module and all the same fixin’s as the earlier models I mentioned. An expanded version of this would be the DL360 curve, comin’ in hot with a 6.67” curved screen for those looking for a more immersive AIO to look at from different angles.
Lastly would be the FROZN series, all going stealthy with a new design, 6x6mm heatpipes and a soldered copper base. The FROZN A620 however is the only one that will come with an LCD screen, 5.5”, at the top cover.
