HONOR Malaysia had just announced that the HONOR 50 will be making its way into the Malaysian market this coming 18th October. What’s cool here is that Malaysia’s the first country outside of China to get it !
Only the standard model is coming
Based on the launch in China a few months back, HONOR for now is only setting in stone only the base model will be making its way here.
The specs
HONOR seems to have equipped the HONOR 50 to be a mainstream device, packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor coupled with either 6GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB memory configurations. It will be running Android 11 based MagicUI 4.2 out of the box complete with Google Services (Yay!)
The camera setup is rather impressive on paper, sporting a 108 MP main shooter, flanked by an 8 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro camera along with a 2 MP depth sensor, essentially making this a kind-of quad camera setup. The sensors look huge and would be a defining look for the smartphone model.
In the front is a 32 MP selfie cam hole-punched into the display.
The battery pack has a 4300mAh capacity that can be fully charged in 45 minute using the provided 66W SuperCharge power brick.
Launch in Malaysia
The Honor 50 launch event will happen coming 8pm on Monday, 18th October 2021. It will be livestreamed on both YouTube and Facebook. The HONOR 50 will be available through eCommerce partners Shopee, Lazada and Senheng.
