ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced that the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X gaming handhelds are now available for pre-order in Malaysia. Developed in collaboration with Xbox, these devices are designed to provide a blend of console and PC gaming, offering powerful performance in a portable package.

Key Features and Performance
The ROG Xbox Ally X is equipped with the new AMD Ryzen™ AI Z2 Extreme Processor and an 80Wh battery, offering a balance of performance and battery life.
The ROG Xbox Ally features the AMD Ryzen™ Z2 A Processor and a 60Wh battery, designed for energy efficiency. Both devices have a 7-inch Full HD (1080p) IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness.
According to pre-release testing:
- The ROG Xbox Ally X delivered up to a 30% performance increase in games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Doom: The Dark Ages compared to the previous ROG Ally X model.
- It also has up to twice the battery life when playing Hollow Knight: Silksong.
- The ROG Xbox Ally showed a performance boost of up to 20% in Forza Horizon 5 and Gears of War: Reloaded and up to 110% more battery life compared to the original ROG Ally.
The devices also feature contoured grips inspired by Xbox Wireless Controllers, a new Armoury Crate SE integrated into the Xbox Game bar for quick access, and an onboard NPU (Neural Processing Unit) in the ROG Xbox Ally X to prepare for future AI-powered gaming features.
Pricing and Availability
Pre-orders for the new ROG Xbox Ally series began on October 3, 2025, at 8:15 PM exclusively from the ASUS e-Store. The devices will be available for wider pre-order from authorized ASUS resellers from October 6 to October 15, 2025. The ROG Xbox Ally is priced at RM2,699, while the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X is priced at RM4,299. Both handhelds will be available on shelves at all authorized ASUS resellers starting October 17, 2025.
Customers who pre-order the ROG Xbox Ally series between October 3 and October 15, 2025, will receive a pre-order bundle valued at RM999.
The bundle includes:
- ROG SLASH Sling Bag 4.0
- ROG Xbox Ally series screen protector
- 512GB microSD card
- A 2-year Perfect Warranty (accidental damage protection)
In addition to the bundle, there is a 20% PWP (Purchase-with-Purchase) promotion for the ROG Bulwark Dock DG300 and the ROG 65W Gaming Charger Dock.
