Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip7, a new compact AI phone that redefines the flip phone experience with multimodal capabilities and an innovative edge-to-edge FlexWindow. Designed to be both pocket-sized and powerful, the Galaxy Z Flip7 integrates Galaxy AI, a flagship-level camera, and an ultra-compact design, offering seamless interaction and everyday reliability.

Biggest, Brightest FlexWindow Yet
The Galaxy Z Flip7 features Samsung’s largest FlexWindow to date, a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED display that extends from edge-to-edge. This allows users to easily type messages, check schedules, and capture high-quality selfies directly from the cover screen. The FlexWindow also boasts a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, ensuring vivid and fluid visuals even in direct sunlight, further enhanced by Vision Booster for improved outdoor visibility. The main display is a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, designed for an immersive viewing experience.
Thinnest Yet Durable Galaxy Z Flip
Weighing just 188 grams and measuring only 13.7mm when folded, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is the slimmest Galaxy Z Flip yet. It is built for durability, with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 protecting the cover and back. The new Armor FlexHinge is thinner than its predecessor and incorporates high-strength materials for smoother folds and lasting resilience. A robust Armor Aluminum Frame provides additional exterior toughness.
Longer-Lasting Power and Smarter Performance
Despite its slimmer design, the Galaxy Z Flip7 features the largest battery ever in the Galaxy Z Flip series. The 4,300mAh battery provides up to 31 hours of video playtime on a single charge. Powering the device is the latest 3nm processor, customized for Galaxy, offering enhanced CPU, GPU, and NPU performance compared to the Galaxy Z Flip6. For the first time, Samsung DeX is available on the Galaxy Z Flip7, allowing it to transform into a workstation with PC-like multitasking capabilities when connected to a screen.
Pocket-Perfect AI
Running on the new One UI 8 and Android 16, the Galaxy Z Flip7 delivers multimodal AI experiences optimized for its design. The enhanced FlexWindow and smarter Galaxy AI empower users to search, get answers, and take action directly from the cover screen.
Key AI features include:
- Gemini Live: Available directly on the FlexWindow, Gemini Live enables hands-free voice search and task completion. Users can ask for flight details, set reminders, find restaurants, and store information in Samsung Notes.
- Camera Sharing on Gemini Live: Users can get real-time assistance by pointing the camera, allowing Gemini to respond to questions about outfits or packing, for example.
- Now Bar: This feature displays real-time app activity, podcast progress, and alerts on the cover screen, with integration for more third-party apps.
- Now Brief: Provides personalized daily updates including traffic, reminders, calendar events, fitness summaries, and tailored music and video recommendations.
- Personalized FlexWindow: The FlexWindow allows for AI-powered personalization, including curated wallpaper suggestions, emoji, color, and widget customization, with the clock adapting to compliment wallpapers.
A Pocket-Sized Selfie Studio
The Galaxy Z Flip7 features a flagship-level camera system and Samsung’s best selfie camera. The advanced ProVisual Engine intelligently optimizes every scene for crisp, detailed shots in any lighting. The dual rear camera system includes a 50MP Wide lens and a 12MP Ultra-Wide lens, capable of capturing high-quality selfies directly from the cover screen. Enhanced Nightography improves low-light photos, and 10-bit HDR provides richer color and detail in videos.
Selfie capabilities are enhanced with:
- Real-Time Filters: Users can preview and perfect FlexCam shots instantly.
- Zoom Slider: Quickly zoom in or out with a swipe for perfect outfit or group selfies.
- Dual Preview: Both the photographer and subject can see the composition live on the FlexWindow.
- Portrait Studio in Photo Assist: Transforms pet photos with various styles.
Introducing the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE
Samsung also announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, bringing the foldable experience to more users. This model features a 6.7-inch Main Display when opened. Its 50MP FlexCam enables high-quality hands-free selfies and video in Flex Mode. Now Brief provides helpful updates on the cover screen. The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is available in Black and White.
Future-Ready Mobile Security
Samsung is reinforcing mobile security with new protections for on-device AI, expanded cross-device threat detection, and enhanced network security. One UI 8 introduces Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), creating encrypted, app-specific storage environments. Samsung is also advancing Knox Matrix for proactive protection across the Galaxy ecosystem and integrating post-quantum cryptography into Secure Wi-Fi for robust privacy.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE are available for pre-order starting July 9, 2025, at 10 PM (Malaysia Time) until July 31, 2025, with general availability beginning August 1, 2025.
