2K and Gearbox Software recently announced that Borderlands® 4 is now available for pre-order, with a worldwide launch set for September 12, 2025.

The latest installment in the acclaimed franchise will be available on PlayStation®5 (PS5®), Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a Nintendo Switch 2 release planned for later in 2025. Starting at $69.99, Borderlands 4 is poised to be the “boldest Borderlands to date.”

Players will step into the shoes of one of four new Vault Hunters, each possessing unique abilities that, when combined with an arsenal of billions of weapons, offer diverse ways to overcome enemies. The game features the largest Borderlands world to date, with new traversal mechanics to explore the expansive planet Kairos. Players will face off against the tyrannical Timekeeper and his Order.
Post-launch content for Borderlands 4 is also planned, with a robust roadmap of both free and paid content. Paid DLC may include two new Vault Hunters, new regions of Kairos, additional story missions, side missions, challenges, and enemies. Further details on post-launch content will be revealed at a later date.

Borderlands 4 is available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe, all of which are available for pre-order starting today and will be released on September 12, 2025. Pre-ordering any edition grants players the Gilded Glory Pack, which includes one Vault Hunter Skin, one Weapon Skin, and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin.

- Deluxe Edition: Priced at $99.99 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), this edition includes the Bounty Pack Bundle, featuring four post-launch DLC packs with distinct areas, new missions, unique bosses, four Vault Cards with challenges and rewards, new gear and weapons, four new vehicles, Vault Hunter cosmetics, and the Firehawk’s Fury Weapon Skin.
- Super Deluxe Edition: Available for $129.99 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), this edition includes all bonus digital content from the Deluxe Edition. Additionally, it features the Vault Hunter Pack, which comprises two new Story Packs, each introducing a new Vault Hunter, story and side missions, two new map regions, new gear and weapons, and more Vault Hunter and ECHO-4 cosmetics. The Ornate Order Pack, with four Vault Hunter Skins, four Vault Hunter Heads, and four Vault Hunter Bodies, is also included.
Borderlands 4 is rated M for Mature by the ESRB. The game will also be available to play on NVIDIA GeForce NOW once purchased on Steam or Epic Games Store.
