RARBG Has Shut Down : The End Of The Torrenting Era?

One of the world’s largest torrent sites, RARBG, had recently written a public letter to users around the world, indicating that they no longer have the manpower or financial capacity to keep their Peer-to-peer file sharing platform running.

Hello guys, We would like to inform you that we have decided to shut down our site. The past 2 years have been very difficult for us – some of the people in our team died due to covid complications, others still suffer the side effects of it – not being able to work at all. Some are also fighting the war in Europe – ON BOTH SIDES. Also, the power price increase in data centers in Europe hit us pretty hard. Inflation makes our daily expenses impossible to bare. Therefore we can no longer run this site without massive expenses that we can no longer cover out of pocket. After an unanimous vote we’ve decided that we can no longer do it. We are sorry 🙁 Bye
RARBG Team

RARBG was a platform where torrenters would be able to download just about anything, from games, to movies, ebooks to applications, attracting millions of users all over the world, enabling digital piracy to be a part of people’s lives.

The Bulgarian torrent index was founded back in 2008, specializing in delivering high quality videos in English, on top of video games and software.

It’s Hard To Let Go

Although being a massive blow to the piracy scene at large, there are still viable sources of torrent trackers out there that can be found, but it will definitely not the be same as going to good ol’ RARBG. We sincerely hope that the founders will be able to rest and have some peace from here on out, especially those who have been caught in the Russian-Ukranian conflict and the COVID-19 Pandemic.
