Lenovo’s Legion Phone Duel 2 in Malaysia; Price starts at RM3,299

Just when it seems like the high end gaming smartphone market was beginning to settle down, Lenovo launches their Legion Phone Duel 2. This is the sequel to their previous gaming phone, launched not too long ago in October last year. So what’s new?

Here’s the quick run down of the specs. There’s a Snapdragon 888 5G and a 6.9″ 1080p 144hz AMOLED. Just these two is pretty much ensures you a good time when gaming on your phone. Touch sampling rate for the display is at 720Hz for all the competitive mobile gamers out there and if you want to stream from your phone it has a very unique 44MP pop up camera when in landscape mode. You can use it as a webcam to stream and it comes with fancy real-time filters and overlays to stream with a virtual avatar. Battery wise it’s pretty 2021 too, with dual 2750 mAh batteries on left and right (5,500 mAh total) for even weight distribution and it works with 90W quick charging that promises a full charge in just 30 minutes.

The Legion Phone 2 separates itself from the crowd by having eight virtual keys for gaming with no add-on purchases needed. There’s four ultrasonic shoulder keys, two rear capacitance screen touchpoints, and two in-display force touchpoints. As usual gamers can bind them to do a variety of things which most normal smartphones can’t.
